Meet Dr. Sarah M. Axelson
Educator, Facilitator, and Founder of Beyond the Lecture
Dr. Sarah M. Axelson is a public health educator, facilitator, and course designer who brings over 20 years of experience to the classroom, the conference stage, and the consulting room. With a Doctorate in Public Health and certifications in two national systems-change simulations, she blends real-world application with evidence-based pedagogy to create immersive learning experiences that stick.
Dr. Axelson has worked across higher education, federal government, and the nonprofit sectors — teaching award-winning undergraduate and graduate courses at George Washington University while consulting on team training, program design, and experiential learning strategy.
When she’s not facilitating, you’ll find her walking her dog Maddie, dreaming up new toolkits, or designing the perfect dry-erase + fidget-friendly training kit.
